About COHL
Empowering kids through hockey for over 55 years
OUR HOCKEY Legacy
Our History
Since its inception in 1968-69, the Community Outdoor Hockey League (formerly Oakridge Park Hockey League) has opened the door for children aged 6-12 to experience the fun world of hockey. Our grassroots program is perfect for kids wanting to try-out hockey for the first time, making each player’s initial experience on the ice memorable and exciting.
With a focus on beginners, we put our efforts into creating a supportive environment where children can learn and grow. Set in the West Deane Park Outdoor rink, we emphasize sportsmanship and teamwork, ensuring every player not only learns how to play but also understands the importance of cooperation and respect in sport.
